Rear Wheel Cleaning
Anyone know of a good method/way or product to remove the oil from the back wheel that the chain has flung off??
K4 so I've got the silver wheels, well should be silver now generally mucky. |
I use chain cleaner on a cloth to remove fling. others will probably recommend paraffin as it's cheaper.

Paint thinners or paraffin does the job nicely!!!!

pledge/mr sheen!!honestly

*Wanders off to ask the oxford dictionary* |
WD40, or a citrus based degreaser
|
Does the citrus stuff leave iot smelling Orangey fresh. :P :P
|
Parrafin??
For us stateside folks, is parrafin the same thing as kerosene? Kerosene or lamp oil (same stuff, only lamp oil is deodorized) work great. Cheap and available. A small amount on a cloth.

Paraffin, WD40, or Mr Sheen. None of those will take your paint off, whereas a lot of the "wonder" cleaners will with constant use.

I use Muc-off, just give it a squirt when I do the rest of the bike. When it's bad- that lovely mix of chain fling and brake dust- I use kerosene. |
