zx10r shock

I finally got around to fitting my '06 zx10r shock onto my curvy, following the excellent instructions from red5 here:

http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=42455

all seems okay except that the shock reservoir seems rather to be rubbing up against rear subframe. anyone else have trouble with this? any ideas?

Do you mean its rubbing up against the bit under the rear of the fuel tanks and it stops the battery from moving?

no, against the inside of the rear subframe strut

I can probably file 0.5-1.0mm off the end of the reservoir without getting into anything important, I just wanted to see whether I was missing anything obvious, like putting the shock in upsidedown or something (don't think that would fit though ;-)

I just put mine on this week also but have not rode it yet. Hopefully I can ride it this weekend.

I still need a stiffer spring on the zx10r shock. I have got 36mm of static sag and would like to get down to around 32.
