MP3 / Other audio files - IT question
 

Sorry for the random (not to mention lazy) nature of this post, but I hope someone knows the answer cos Google is not my friend at the mo'!

Does anyone know of a tool that can look up the artist / title info of MP3 & other audio files, or is this impossible?

I've got a ton of music on an old hard drive that I ripped from CDs years ago but didn't fill in the artist / title etc info of each track (I didn't have internet access at the time to do it automatically). #-o

Is there any kind of service out there that will be able to identify the MP3s and fill in the info?

I really can't be bothered to re-rip all that music from CD, but it's infuriating when I'm trying to use iTunes and can't make use of half its most basic features simply cos the files don't have the necessary info. ](*,)

Look at http://musicbrainz.org/

Its a cool little app that you feed in all you music, it analizes it and then if its certian what track it is, it will rename it file it, change the MP3 ID3 tag, file name the lot. If its uncertian it will give you an option of diffrent titles to choose from.,
