2006 Kwacker shock

Will the rear shock from a 2006 636 ZX6 fit onto a 2001 curvy SV650S. I have the option of a low mileage one free from a mate who races.

Believe so- they're different from the ones that most people use, but I think it'll fit since the word is they're a direct swap with the B1. (and work better) If not, grab it anyway and trade it with a 636 owner, they'll be delighted ;) Scooby Drew might like to hear from you if you go down this route.
