Best souding slip-on exhaust?
What's the meanest throatiest exhaust? I'd like a slip-on that perhaps sounds similar to the honda 650 hawk gt, something really loud - and available in North America
|
ANY can will sound better than a stock can. The 'loudest' come form the likes of Blue flame and Art. Not sure if you can them across the pond :D
Check out the exhusts section for write ups etc on various cans. Welocme to the site BTW :D |
My Arrow can is the loudest can I've heard on an SV so far, its ridiculously loud
|
'Best sounding' doesn't necessarily mean 'Loudest'. Sometimes (often) the loudest cans actually sound a bit crap.
|
My loudest was probably my Art but the renegade and fuel can's weren't far off... If you want loud get a stubby can...
Fuel & Zorstec will make cans to custom length or just chop one yourself... If you want an Art can tho it'll have to be 2nd hand as they went bust in the uk I still think the nicest sounding without being necessarily the loudest is either Renegade or Scorpion |
i have a Scorpion on mine, and i think it sounds just right, it has a lovley throb and can defo be hurd from a fair distance!!!!
I love it!!!!!! |
Remus, IMO. Nothing else even comes close, to my ears. Most of the really loud ones just sound like rubbish to me. Can't see the attraction of Scorpion or ART at all, they both sound broken.

Personal taste,
I've got a Blueflame dual exit with no baffles in and Jase22's ART got drown out last night by mine. I prefer the deep bark of mine compared to the quieter bellow of others. But like i said it's personal choice. |
Indeed its down to personal taste, I plonked for a Remus Revolution, whipped the baffle out and am plenty happy with it :)

Just get any old open flow can that's had the packing shot to pieces. It will bark.
