You need to cut the fairing to fit some of the crash bungs, the old style R&Gs need the fairing cut

The new style R&Gs don't IIRC

but, should my lower fairings cover where you fix the bungs to , ican only see about 20%of the fixing place,so i dont think any bung with a streight bolt will fit???

Thats the old style. bung.

The new bungs mount differently and clear your lower fairing.

The ones in the photo are CBR600 I think?

Not sure if there's any frame differences between your '99 and my '02 but view this thread to see picks of how mine mounted

http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=28575

These are the "new" R&Gs (or at least they were last year when I fitted them).

Hope this helps.

i think it will work, its the bracket sets it back a bit

bloody hell you didn't want to buy my bike but now you want yours to look like mine

I had to cut the lower fairings. Only took be 5 mins for both sides & looks good.

hovis 18-09-06 02:19 PM

i was waiting for that  ...but it was a bit far away

hovis 18-09-06 02:25 PM

patrick, it does not look like you have cut the plastics,it looks like a good job....
