Am I tripping out?
I have recently got an unfaired curvy SV. The trip counter seems to work fine, but resets itself when the ignition has been turned off?!?!?? My SVS remembers the trip, only way to zero is to press and hold the button.
The speedo and odometer work fine, it is just the trip counter that resets after ignition off … is this normal, or is there a problem? |
I thought this was the LSD thread :(

what about the clock - does that reset to 12:00 as well?

Something to do with the chip in the odometer. In the haynes manual the is instuctions in how to change the battery. They can only be bought from suzuki though and I bet they aren't cheep!!!

Poor bike :( . You've only had him(her?) a few days and you are already poking it about   .
I've never head about a battery for the clocks but mine(naked clocks) doesn't reset when the ignition is turned off. Sorry, not much help :? Cheers Ben |
old favourites like loose battery terminals or a duff battery? When the battery goes flat on my ZX6 the clock and trip meter 0. The odometer is logged a little more permanently
