Riding other bikes - insurance Q

So I'm getting some quotes on the devitt wensite, and the really cheap ones don't have riding other bikes included. Does it really make a big difference? In the past I had assumed it didn't make a big change in the price. Is there any way that one can get that extra bit added on to the policy they quote me on the website?

I've always had riding other bikes on my policies, and I was'nt aware of a big price difference, but maybe they are getting wise to this and see it as a way of getting more money out of us.

Check out the difference

I think personal accident insurance is what covers you for injuries, physio etc, not 100% on that though.

That is a serious price hike for riding other bikes. I'm 25 with no no claims on bikes and paying £220 a year TPFT on a 2001 650S with other bike cover included.

i got breakdown cover for £25 extra

i am currently covered to ride all other bikes. It was with Virgin Bike Insurance and was included even though the quote was really good. I;ve been with them a few years now and can't fault them.

they just got taken over by CAI, or CIA or whatever that company is called.... might be worth a look?

Too late, I went with the chaucer one. I'll call them and see if it can be added, but for now I just need to ride my own bike!

ive always had ride other bikes included in my policy.

id quite happily pay a bit extra to ride any other bike to be honest.

but ive never been given the option of not having "ride other bikes" to make the policy cheaper, even me asking is there anything i can do to make the policy cheaper.
