Acumen Cat 1... If you've got problems, read this!
Has anyone got an ACUMEN CAT 1 or SUZUKI ACUMEN CAT 1 alarm system on there bike :?:
If you have, are you having problems with the tilt sensor :?: I've had a problem with it for a while now. It got to point where it was going off just sitting in my garage. I ended up deactivating the sensor just to shut the bloody thing up. I spoke to Acumen today and apparently they've had quite a very calls about it. They are sending a local and respected mobile fitter out to replace the sensor with a new and improved version... for FREE :!: :!: :!: So if you've got any problems, then give them a ring! :!: |
Nice one!
Haven't had much in the way of problems, but the tilt sensor / pillion seat switch fitted to my bike (Suzuki dealer part) has the magnet screwed and the switch double sided taped to the metalwork. The little magnet unit has cracked at the screw hole and can move now and again. If I manually arm the alarm, the sensor comes on and the siren has been known to go off- I put this down to the two parts being too far apart (but why not go off immediately?). If I leave the bike to arm passively, the sensor does not arm, just the main system (good for fuel stops). Perhaps I could do with a new sensor too. Once it's been done for you, would you mind awfully if I asked you to post a piccy of the new sensor set fitted? Many thanks, Garry 8) |
Anything to help.
I will be posting pics of old and new sensors once its all done. It might not be until next Saturday as the local Acumen fitter is on holiday. |
