sombody did say to run 2 wires from the battery & have them sticking out under the seat, so you dont have to take the seat off to charge the battery

but you would have to make sure the wires did not touch anything, bullet conecters are the best i can think of, what else could be used, or is this just a bad idea?

Optimate should come with a weatherproof connector to fit to the battery. The connector can then be run down to one side of the sub-frame and be cable tied off

I have mine connected to battery and then the wire has been run up underneath the pillion seat and I just plug in there.

Mine has been on 24/7 for the past year with no worries

Same here. The kit comes with a socket you attach to your battery - the charger has a corresponding plug. It's all moulded and pukka so no worries about touching terminals or anything. Trailed mine under the pillion seat to keep the connector clean.

Had an Optimate for a couple of years - pretty much a necessity(spell) i reckon.

Tad overpriced though in relation to the Oxford one i reckon.
