optimate
is it ok to leave a optimate on over night? 10 hours
i thought that is what they are for, but better check first  |
leave the optimate on 24/7 thats what they are designed to do....mines been on all the time for 6 years :D
|
sombody did say to run 2 wires from the battery & have them sticking out under the seat, so you dont have to take the seat off to charge the battery
but you would have to make sure the wires did not touch anything, bullet conecters are the best i can think of, what else could be used, or is this just a bad idea? |
Optimate should come with a weatherproof connector to fit to the battery. The connector can then be run down to one side of the sub-frame and be cable tied off
|
I have mine connected to battery and then the wire has been run up underneath the pillion seat and I just plug in there.
Mine has been on 24/7 for the past year with no worries |

Had an Optimate for a couple of years - pretty much a necessity(spell) i reckon.
Tad overpriced though in relation to the Oxford one i reckon. |
