Tell you what...

Theres enough daft bikers that hang around roundabouts, trying to get their knee down so it doesn't surprise me at all.

Operative word there being "trying"...

Swindon already has one famous roundabout- the Magic Roundabout- which is described by enthusiasts as the "white knuckle ride" of roundabouts.
And described by others as "Swindons center of culture"

Quote:

The Magic Roundabout consists of five mini-roundabouts surrounding one large standard roundabout. Traffic can usually travel in either direction around the whole junction.
... or just sit there waiting for the other car to move first.

As there is naff all to do here I may just go and find this new one

Sounds a bit like the one at Hemel Hempstead....ooops!! 8-[ Does that make me a spotter?

Red ones 08-10-06 04:28 PM

Yes - the 2 are the same.

Confirmed spotter.

Used to do the Swindon one regularly - piece of cake!

Each year they pick a town to base a calendar on. Basingstoke was the only city to be featured twice. We have that many roundabouts.

Random fact for ya.

So did I (different part of Swindon now). On the way to work I just rode round the out side and rarely found any traffic, but comming back home I had to properly go through it.

So I developed a foolproof technique, I just closed my eyes and opened the throttle

Got any pics of this roundabout? Sounds like fun.
