brake lever and pedal

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a very cheap place to get geniune Suzuki brake lever and pedal?? Mine are slightly bent from when i dropped the bike and need to replace them for selling.....? I've contacted Robinsons Foundry who seem to the cheapest so far at £36.40 (+vat) for the pedal, and £30.43(+vat) for the lever.

Also, has anyone got any advice on this.....i'm selling my bike, but it's got a bent radiator. I have had it all checked out and it's working fine, just not quite as pretty (although i did have one guy come up to me and mention how cool he thought it was the Suzuki were making them with 'curved' radiators!!)....so do i pay the £400 to get a new one so i can sell the bike in mint condition, or do i sell it with the damage? I have no idea which makes more sense and which would give me the bigger return....

Thanks for any help!!

Or even

tried the search function yet?

3 people last week were looking for these items, and they all found them - and posted where I believe.

I have even posted in another thread about where and how much mine cost.

Not that no-one knows, just that we are already bored of the subject :)

No offence but on web-forums there are no new questions, just new people asking them :)

(PS I got mine from the dealers I bought my bike from, and had them fit it - was about the £37+VAT mark)

Google "Oneida Suzuki" or maybe "Temecula Motorsports" or "Powersportsnetwork.com" and I probably wouldn't purchase a bike with a bent radiator if I was new to motorcycles and knew nothing about them. And for most, the SV650 is usually a first bike so... maybe change it out? I don't know.

Don't bother with genuine parts - no better quality than pattern parts and a lot more expensive.

Cheers Keith

That's a very good point!! It is my first bike....mind you, some other people might have the patience and time to hunt down a deal on a radiator from somewhere....

I did wonder about this, but does it affect the warranty if you put none Suzuki brake lever/break pedal/radiator on it???

Also, can you recommend a brand of 'pattern part' that is good value? Does your comment also apply to the radiator....i know that a genuine suzuki radiator is ridiculously expensive!!?

Thanks for all the replies by the way...I really appreciate any advice!!

No. Genuine Suzuki parts come from Suzuki dealers and the SV being a current bike the parts are priced according to their spares structure, thus they cost about the same wherever you buy them.

You'll certainly get a front lever as a pattern bit, but you won't find a pattern rear pedal or rad.
