Fork Bushes Need Replacing

Ok, so my next stage in reparing the issues i have with my bike forks involve replacing the aparently bad bushes to clear the knocking in the corners and bumpy road. Now when doing them, should i also replace the oil & dust seals even if they look ok?

Oil yes, fork seals 50/50 (I would), dust seals = cosmetic more than anything, if they look OK I'd leave them.

Cheers Mark.

Other than RobinsonFoundary, is there a place you can get the bushes cheeper than Suzuki OEM?

Are you sure it is the fork bushes and not the headrace bearings knocking?

pretty sure, top bearing is fairly new and bottom was new this weekend, even though it was fresh in and all tightened up correctly, it was still knocking, so under the asumption that its bedded in a little i re tightened it up just incase, the knocking was still there. When i had the forks off to change the bottom bearing i did find a little movement in the forks sideways.

Ahhh, ok, fair enough! :)

I can't imagine they are more than £20ea even from Suzuki??? David Silver Spares is a great place for Honda owners, but I am not aware of a Suzuki equivalent?! And yes whilst you are in there change the seals. How old are they anyway? Have you ever changed them?? Also sometimes even what was a good seal can deteriorate quickly after being disturbed! They are not that dear and with the new bushes, seals and oil in there you know you are set up forks whise for a while :)
