couple of questions
 

right well i know that bandit 1200 rear wheels will fit on a curvey, (with a bit of work) but am i right in thinking that a bandit 600 wheel will fit straight on the back with no work, and are they also lighter that the stock sv wheels or is it that they are just black instead of silver,

also i was thinking of doing the srad gsxr feont end mod, but money is starting to become a slight issue for me, what other cheap alternatives are there that people can recomend, e.g changing springs and oil, does this make a big difference?

if it makes a difference to peoples sugestions i plan to put a kwak shock on the back, dont knwo if that makes a difference to what i can have on the front tho.

also as most people will asume, my forks are in quite a state on the outside, what is the best way to bring them back to a good looking state, e.g can i have them powder coted or is there some reason i cant do this.

Bandit 6 wheels will fit, but the bearings are a diffrent size, apart from that they will work. The bandit axle is larger than the SV one. Get new bearings and hey presto you are go. They are not lighter AFAIK, and being black is just because thats the way they were on some bandits, even early SVs had black wheels.

Ok:
1) No idea on bandit 600 rear wheel, I do know it takes a 150 section tyre on the earlier ones so *possibly* a narrower rim, The later ones (Post '00 I think took a 160 I belive so might be better). Again, weight I don't know.
2) Fork springs and oil if done yourself are around £80 and can make a big difference and are easy to do, emulators are a bit dearer and more involved to do but can make the forks more refined.
3)Many, many posts on shocks all the good advice on options and compatability's been given, but what works for you depends on budget, and what's wrong with the current setup from your point of view.
4) Fork lowers (Sliders) on the SV have a thin finnish that doesn't stand up all that well to winter. You can use wet & dry to take the laquer off then either re-laquer, paint or probably powder coat them(this I've not checked), alternatively you can polish them up.

Yep, my rear wheel is a post '00 and had a 160 as standard on it when i did the swap. They look exactly the same and would not think it was any lighter, they both felt the same when i was swapping them.

cool well in that case i will just go with powder coating my current wheels as i can get that done quite cheap and it was only the weight reduction that i was thinking of the b6 wheel 4, but if they weigh the same then whats the point!
the shock i have done lots of reading on and i think it will b a kwak shock because of the slight ease to fit it over some other shocks, and i think the stiffer shock will be more to my riding style, i will have to have a look into emulators, i have not seen/hurd or read anything about this b4, so if any1 has any usefull links with info that would be appreceated!!
i am likeing the idea of powder coating the sliders, but obveously dont want to do this unless i know its ok to do so any more info from the wise of the .org would be well recieved!
