no power.. can anyone help
 

Hi All, been a long time since I hung around here. Hope everyone's well?

It's been quite an age since I got out on the bike. Went out today, turned the key and nada, no display (SK3) no whirring of the electrics, no nothing.

Checked the kill switch, and that was set to run. Took the battery out and checked it, it's fully charged, checked the ignition fuse and all's well there.

Does anyone know where the next place to look is 'cos I'm stumped? Anyone living in the Cheltenham area who knows their stuff that might pop and have a look for a few beers?

If nothing works at all including the lights then I reckon your battery is not connected to the rest of the bike somehow.Check the battery connections and earth point and the main fuse again.Does the pointy have any circuits that work with the key out like a parking light?Try that to see if any power is getting into the wiring anywhere.

Is it in gear?

thanks guys. the pointy has no electrics that work with the key out, the parking light needs the key in. Will check all the electrics again, but couldn't find anything wrong the rist time round.

Checked the gears and popped it in and out of gear and still no joy.

how annoying!?

You need the key to turn the ignition to parking lights but you can then take the key out.....
