Anyone own a V-Strom?
 

Its a kind of SV, but I havent seen anything about them on the site.

Are they any good? or just a waste of an SV engine?

I have ridden one, and they are pretty good, just ugly

its just like riding a Naked SV imho.

Someone in my IAM group rides the 1000cc version. In the right hands it's a very quick road bike and the angles of lean you can get on it are greater than you'd think. IMO the styling is amongst the best for this sort of "trailie for the road" bike. I don't know about the 650 version, other than that it's supposed to be very comfortable and good for long distance riding.

There are "grand touring" variants with centre stands, heated grips, luggage etc. included, too.

I would like an SV thou but it is a bit too similar to my 650 and alot more dangerous (bhp)!
Wondered whether i could justify picking one of these up and trying it for a few months.

With the right bits on it should almost as quick as a thou and even rarer in a street burning format.
