So I've tried touch up paint...

...on a quite large patch of fairing, and its noticable darker than the normal paint.

I've done 3 coats so far (instructions say several) and its just getting darker!

Yes its the right colour by the way

Any idea if this'll sort itself out thru drying and sunlight?

So I assume you have bought a grand candy blue paint.

Did you use a silver base coat first. and a good lacquer.

Also this time of year make sure your environment is dry and warm otherwise the paint will bloom

Ive done a few bits on mine and you cant really tell unless you stand quite close to the bike.

Well I've tried it with and without the silver base coat, both look ****e lol

But it looks better than huge scratches...

not laquered it yet cos I'm not happy with the colour...

From memory candy blue dries a bit matt and then lightens and goes shiny with the lacquer.
