Battersea Cat and Dog Home.

For those out there looking to adopt a new family member.

The procedure is as follows.......

Go to Battersea,

Follow the Red Paw prints on the ground to the Rehoming reception

Take a number from the dispenser

Get a form - Pink for Cats, Blue for Dogs

Get a pen and clip-board.

Fill in the form while waiting for an interviewer to come and take you away to have a chat.

Get asked a few questions about home, and what you are looking for.

If you are living in rented acommodation you will need written consent from your landlord.

If you pass the test - would be hard not to, you can then go look at the cats/dogs and find the one you want to take home.

You then go down and the pet of your choice is instpected by a nurse, you are let know about any medical issues and get 6 weeks free pet insurance.

You then go pay your cash - £40 for a Cat, £70 for a Dog and then head for home with your new family member.

So now, I would like to introduce Philip (named by previous owner, an old lady who died - name may be changed if he likes :P) an 11 yo British Short hair.

:)

£70 for a dog?
When I was a lad you went round the farms, got any dogs mister?
You could usually get a mongrel and a piece of bale string for a lead for nothing.
First time I got a slap and made to take it back, but got to keep one eventually.
