Loud Music.

Went to see the mighty Motorhead at Folkestone on Friday night. =D>
What a wall of noise that was. Superb.
Now i've seen some loud bands in my time (Metallica, Pantera etc.) but I
honestly think that was about as loud as it gets.
My ears are still ringing this morning.

Whats the loudest band you have encountered?

Manowar I believe hold the world record for loudest band - or did a few years ago. So loud they make Motorhead sound like theyre on half volume

I have seen both, and many more besides, and Manowar were probably the loudest band I've seen.

And on that note, Im off home. I do so love a 6 hour time difference and my working day is ended. :D

I've seen Pantera they were loud but the loudest I've seen has to be Megadeth at rock city the opening bars to Symphony of Destruction were like someone just hit you really hard this beating continued for the next hour and a half.

Loudest band?

I've only ever seen metallica, at reading in 2003 (i think it was 2003?). We got pretty near the front so it was feckin' loud!

Sometimes though I feel like i play louder. But then I'm in a small room...

I didn't know Motorhead were still going

I saw them at the Cornwall Coliseum in St Austell, in about 1981

They were so loud that I'd lost all sense of hearing when I came out - was riding a BSA Bantam at the time and could only tell the engine was running by revving it and feeling the vibrations between my legs :P

I seem to remember that I had a ringing sound in my ears for about a week after

I just found out that I could have had back stage passes to Motorhead's last gig in Glasgow... now she tells me. ](*,)

On the bright side I'll at least be in line for them next year. 8)

i think its got to be Metallica at earls court for me i think, but that still wasn't that bad IMO, my earls ring longer after a 4 hour practice with my band!! www.myspace.com/asurah!!! hahaha never miss a chance for a plug!!!

Saw Motorhead as a trio with 'Fast EddieClarke' back in 81 or 82 at the Coventry Apollo (its a bingo hall now). Pretty loud then as well. Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Def Leppard were pretty loud but I think The Who just take it ...just.
