gas and lekkie supplier?
well as from tomorrow Ive give N POWER and BRITISH GAS the boot! and will now be supplied by southern electric who claim to be 40% cheaper! evan as quoted from the 1st of jan 07 increase. :D
anyone else swapped? did it go smoothly? |
?I gave Npower the boot in favour of EDF
Just had my first eleccie bill. WTF £252.11 from 28/7 to 4/12 Err have I made a terrible mistake or has the wife been wasting electrickery |
I moved to dual fuel from EDF some years ago, claiming to save me at least 25%. In fact my bills never really went down at all.
Biggest saving I made was getting a water meter put in. My combined water/sewage bill is £700 less than my neighbours  |

try this website, might be useful, its really good for comparing different tarrifs.
www.uswitch.com I've just switched to Scottish Power, not the cheapest but had best customer service rating and still cheaper than British Gas, who keep putting my monthly payments up even though I'm in credit by £60 grrhh... |
British gas have bad press at the mo, they put my dd up from £35 to £50 last month without asking me  any supplier is cheaper than them.
|
Avoid British Gas at all costs, please believe me. They are completely incompetent and belligerent, they will rob you.

changed to Npower  in october......not had a bill yet [-o< the young un that came to door said it would be cheaper

Regularly check suppliers for price, change about every 12 - 18 months. Changes have always been easy. Currently on a fixed price tariff with EDF Energy and collecting Nectar points with the Read, Reduce, Reward scheme. I had the prices fixed at an old rate which is now below the open market rate.
Changing suppliers can take up to 60 depending on how you hit the billing cycle |
Changed to Sainsbury's for both over a year ago. Did a price comparison but can't beat them at the mo.
