Chewy's Crash Protectors
I'm interested but not sure about the fairing crash protectors on this site:
http://www.chewys-stuff.co.uk/ At £11.50 they seem too good to be true :-k The R&G ones are about £100 inc. delivery :? Obviously you'd think they wouldn't be as good quality, but at the end of the day its just a bolt and a lump of plastic :smt102 Do the R&G's attach on to the bike in the same way, i.e. fit on to the large original suzuki faring brackets :?: Or do they have some other method that is stronger :?: |
I do know that R&G's have some kind of compression sleeve or something that is supposed to aid in the whole 'impact absorbsion' - so it's not a simple case of a lump of rubber held on by a bolt. Um... but that's all I know.

crash bungs
Chewy's stuff is good solid stuff. He's a top man. I bought mirror spacers and crash bungs from his site. They're very professionally made from Delrin and fit perfectly. I believe the R&G type have a long solid bolt through the middle of the motor, which should be able to take an impact better than the fairing brackets, but there'll be lads on the site who will be able to advise you about that.

Not had anything from Chewys site but all look well thought out and designed for the SV.
At the moment his stuff is a reasonable price because fame hasnt gone to his head, and possibly his overheads are a bit less :P With R & G you can get a discount off E-Bike and the California Superbike School You takes your choice |
I would also like to know this!!
Anyone crash tested chewys crashbungs? |
I think Chewy's bungs are more a redesign of the Suzuki ones to make them suck a bit less, rather than a standalone design... But can't say for sure.

BUMP!! :P
