Can it get any better?

Despite a main course which was extremely mediteranean, last evening I prepared a special treat for dessert.

Strawberry jam swiss roll, wallowing temptingly in lashings of Bird's custard! It was good to feel in touch with my Old Blighty roots for a change instead of all that "foreign muck!"

Lovely! You need to stock up on some of those coronary-inducing "puddings in tins" next time you're over. You know, the ones with about 2000 calories per spoonful and that the treacle gets so hot it takes the skin off the roof of your mouth?

Healthy living is all well and good, and I sort of try to eat healthily but you can't beat treacle tart with a good dollop of clotted cream :D
