Intercom Question
I have decided to go for the Starcom1 Kit-B Advanced, mainly due to features and cost compared to autocom which is dearer.
I am considering going for the bluetooth kit but need to understand sthing before I do. My phone has TomTom on it and communicates through bluetooth with the GPS Receiver. If I had bluetooth capability on the intercomwould I be able to use the phone to listen to TomTom and then when call comes through answer the call? All via bluetooth at the sametime Cheers |
you would be able to connect
phone -bluetooth- tomtom -wire- gps -bluetooth- headset and be able to answer calls through the tom tom. Thats what i'm aiming for too |
yes but tomtom=phone for me

As I understand this,
Your phone's display is used for showing the maps etc, and connects, via bluetooth, to a box (with no screen, speaker etc) which is actually the GPS reciever. You hope to also be able to connect the phone, via bluetooth, to the Starcom unit, and then use the headset which is connected to the Starcomm to hear the sat-nav directions and phone calls. Is that right?? If it is, it should work fine, however the quickest way to check would be to use a cheap bluetooth headset, and try with this first (this would act in place of the Starcomm unit)-provided this works it should all be fine.
