Black Cabs be warned
1st feb got taken out whilst filtering on the right hand side of staionary traffic.
Mr impatient cabbie started his u turn across my bike giving me no chance. Injured my thumb and neck and bike landed on my right thigh. Also £1650 worth of damage. lessons learned: Trickle past all cabbies or even stop if you sense an idiot. Slow speed filtering reduces injuries (10 mph and only minor stuff) Good gear is worth its weight in gold. My Dianese jacket has a rip on the elbow and i did not even feel the impact. Leathers jeans and boots also did their stuff. My insurance company Novatis and the legal people at Silverbeck Rymer are great. Even the cabbies company Norwich Union have admitted liability and offered to assist me. Thanks to a helpful scooter rider who stopped and offered to be a witness. (think he will be buying all the gear now!!) Keep and safe and wear the gear SV 05S ohlins front and rear, gilles vario bars Beta Apl 4.0 trail bike  |
Sorry to hear of your off. glad your doing OK. Have you considered IAM. Might give some other ideas not to get knocked off again.
Especially as I don't think it's as easy as only having to look out for one particular group of other road users. |
Sorry to hear about your off Stu. Hoep it's all sorted swiftly and to your satisfaction.
