Re: SV 1000 curvy?

In '97 IIRC the TL1000S was released. The SV650 came out in '99 and shares a lot of the styling but to my knowledge there are no parts that you can swap between them, the frames are rather different when you're up close, as are the plastics.

The SV1000 was released with a much modified (and detuned) TL engine, again almost no parts are the same as for the SV650 to the best of my knowledge, but because they are now in the same family of bike they look a lot closer.

NB: The TL1000S and SV1000 are very different bikes.

There is no such thing. The TL1000S is often referred to as "1000cc SV" and the curvy SV as a "mini-TL", but in reality they are completely different bikes. They do look similar, but the frame, suspension (esp. rear), brakes etc are totally different.

There may be some interchangeable parts, such as levers but you would need to check carefully.
