Re: Top Speed
Dan, this has been covered loads of times and people get bored with replying every time to the same question, that's what rictus meant, I'm sure he didn't mean to offend.
While we're on the subject, your other post about tank range is another one that keeps cropping up, the last time I saw one someone had done over 200 miles to a tank ! There's lots of replies if you do a search ! |
Re: Top Speed
I got 97mph out of the SV the other day (two up, restricted.......)
I dont know how many miles I've had out of the tank, but I think i get 130 before the light starts to flash. Here's a schoolboy error; It started flashing the other day, and i thought it was my oil, so i panicked all the way to the petrol station, checked the oil level and couldnt work out why the oil light was on... ...then it clicked  silly me...almost as bad as the time I didnt know why the engine was cutting out when i selected first, until my dad told me i had left the stand down  Matt |
Re: Top Speed
I saw an indicated 172 on the clock in France 2005. The GPS in my tank bag confirmed 165 and it was a real bugger to look at. This is on a fully faired thou with modded cylinder heads and a few other things showing 117 bhp @ rear wheel. I was probably also the one getting over 200 miles on a tank too due to my G/F going everywhere with me. Since done 240 on a tank then pushed it to the garage on the long walk of shame.
