I can think of some other roads that are just as bad if not worse

that would probably be cause plod is too busy at the side of the road with the latest .........(delete as appropriate)

......... accident, usually a BMW with a kissfm sticker on the back
......... victim of road rage
......... chav in some type of ford with a baked bean exhaust
......... wife in 4x4 with 15 kids in boot
......... foreign number plated car with bald wheels and nackered suspension
......... innocent biker on his way to or from work who undertook the reliant robin that was doing 30 in the outside lane

Must be the bikers fault for going slow enough to be caught. There is a R.R. that goes towards Chelmsford and you would struggle to pass him at 80mph
