If it's same as the pointy you can have mine for the price of postage.

thank you, very generous,

can anyone confirm if the two support rods are identical?

Re: tank support rod

If I was being funny, I would say that the pointy tank stay would be ugly, prone to rust, take twice as long to fit due to it being slower................ but I wont as it's a very nice offer.

However having checked out Alphasports microfiches the pointy one is completely different, however that's not to say it won't do the job.

Re: tank support rod

Its just a steel rod about a foot long with a kink in the end so the tank doesnt slide down it.

Re: tank support rod

It's got a couple of kinks in it actually. One to locate in the shiny top yoke bolt with the hole in it, and one to get the angle of support right and stop it sliding down.

Re: tank support rod

as long as it holds the tank up it wont matter if its the same............. you could probaly make it a bit longer?

Re: tank support rod

i will make my own, and i will make it as long as possible, and also from ally so it wont rust and also heat shrink the ends so it cannot scratch the youke nut or tank.

thank you andyaikido for your offer anyway

I made mine out of a bit of wood with a nail in it :) Then I made another out of some ludicrously bendy steel, which took 10 times longer and works half as well. Then I found the original one.
