Dyno Chart
Got one free Dyno run from Carbontek.
Anyone want to help me interpret it? I can understand that the 3 lines are power at the crank, gearbox & wheel. Almost 71HP, so no problems. The guy said their race SVs only get 72. He said it ws running a little lean, but nothing to be concerned about, but would benefit from a remap just like any bike would. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i136/stu369/Dyno.jpg http://www.carbontek.com/pages/main/default.asp free dyno runs Saturdays 10am - 12:30 limited time |
Re: Dyno Chart
Dunno, can't help you.
Why have they quoted torque in kg.m? Looks pretty healthy to my untrained eye, the power curve doesn't rise as sharply at 8500rpm. |

but it's 53 Nm or 39 lbFt |
Re: Dyno Chart
Can't help you as such but thought I should let you know that my Curvy made 80 BHP at the rear wheel

I've just pulled out my BSD Dynojet dyno run with a Blueflame can (bottom blanking plate baffle out) Says Max power = 72.61hp and Max torque 45.15ft-lbs. Different dyno so that means nothing compared to yours really, I reckon mine was over optimistic anyway. Getting a new dyno run soon on a dynapro machine. |

Re: Dyno Chart
I assume your bike was strapped to the dyno with the back wheel pushing the drum? How were the gearbox and crank figures obtained? Unless the bike was dismantled these must be projected figures.

Re: Dyno Chart
There aren't any fuelling curves on there so you can't tell how far off it is - but I'm guessing that it's not much otherwise you'd have been advised to get it set up properly. If you think torque/power look low it's probably cos it's not a Dynojet dyno.

Re: Dyno Chart
So it's a fuchs dyno so about as reliable a figure as just typing a figure into a calculator and saying thats how much you got.
Minitwins have a 72hp limit at the back wheel so about 15-20% higher than your figure. And 21quest. 80hp my ****. I'm betting a Dynojet dyno? Mine has 80hp just and thats got an awful lot more qwork done to it than yours. 700cc kit, lightened, balanced crank, skmmed head with light head work, ignition advancer, open airbox, full Ti M4 system, BMC foam filter, total loss ignition system. SV650RACER's bike has even more work than mine done to it and is only just up to 84ish |
