Bolts
Hey all,
Where can i buy allan key bolts from? I dont need 100 (which is all i seem to find on the interspazz) all i want is 4-5 to replace a few that where "stuck" on the bike and so now need replaced? Cheers Duck-man :D |
Re: Bolts
I got my titanium bolts from here but they do stainless too. Not cheap mind.
http://www.tastynuts.com/acatalog/ Used a guy called Steves Stainless as well but his link doesn't seem to work any more. Also I have a general hardware store that holds lots of stainless allen bolts. Try your yellow pages. |
Re: Bolts
I use a combination of screwfix for standard thread and hyperbolt for those silly metric fine that the japs like to use.

Re: Bolts
I would just go for an "engine" or "fairing" kit in stainless:cool: from Demon Tweeks. Lovely. No more corrosion and OE chocolate bolts rounding off!
If you are just looking for two or summit, a Suzuki stealer will get them in for lots of pounds.:( :) |
Re: Bolts
What sizes? I got the bags of 100 so I've got loads :) But most cheaper stainless types aren't recommended for structural bolts, so you do need to watch where you use 'em.

Re: Bolts
I get all mine from ebay, one guy does free postage on bags of 10s stainless

Re: Bolts
Hey,
The bolts are from my mates tt600 as his bike failed its mot cause it didnt have a baffle in it. He was sold the bike a few months ago and he asked about the baffles and was told that the exhaust was legal because it was "stamped" so he thought nothing more of it, but i thought it looked a bit suspicion. We took the end can off (with a hacksaw and a cold chisel! cheap nasty OEM bolts!) held in place by 3 allen key bolts and sent it off to get a baffle made up for it. So the bolts are not too structural, and i think they are M10 by about 16mm long ish but i am gonna check tonight at B&Q for size. do u have the name of teh ebay site? |
