forking forks

left hand seal has just suddenly gone today and letting oil out.
i thought i could sort it out with some new seals but have found that on the leg there is a ridge...or kink...exesive wear on the back of the left fork
stanchon only (the one leaking).
could this be the reason for the sudden leak?
or can a seal alone sort it out?:O
anyone have a left hand stanchon going cheap if its a case of replacing it? (97 tl1000s)
all help will be great right now as weather getting better for riding and i need to get out.

cheers guys.:cheers

Re: forking forks

From your description it would appear that the fork is bent or at least the has been damaged before which has caused the issue that you have now. I would think about having the forks checked out properly to see if they are indeed not straight.
