You'll need to work out depreciation for that model and year (try Glass guide or parkers?). Regardless of the fact that it is new it has been depreciating for 4 years. Personally I would say £5500 is too much for an 03 model.

Further to that I think I would put in an offer of slightly more than the highest book value for that year.

they reckon £4180 is top wack from a dealer for an 03 model with i reckon 12 15 k on it...

Maybe £5k is max ....

Only thinking any way...

Personally I would prob pick up a new shape RSV and stick higher clip-ons. Only because i like the new shape. Although I can see you prob like the naked in which case look for a used factory as you may get lucky for that price. Engines are bullet proof but from what I understand the electrics/battery draw down is the only downside.

And don't forget to add on the price of the binoculars wou'll need to see the clocks !! :)

Personally, although I love the looks of the Tuono - if I were looking to create an Aprillia Streetfighter type bike I'd buy a Falco to use a the base bike.

Much cheaper, without too much loss of performance (especially as you're not gonna need the 'top end' on a naked bike), & what you save you could put towards a nice Ohlins shock (& forks if you want to be really flash). Oh yes, & the frame when polished looks the business :)

All of the last paragraph is based on a bike that belongs to a lad down this way who's done it
