I was looking at a thread to do with puncture repairs about a week ago and in it someone was raving about how good a particular kit was. Anyone recall the name of the kit?

Not sure it was that one.. I seem to remember seeing some mushroom plugs.

I'm more inclined to the sticky string variaty, not need for vulcanizing compound, been using them for years, never had one let me down, and at one time did a track day & 1800 miles on a repair(although I wouldn't recomend that or course;) )

I've read on a US biking forum that they recommend the string type for emergency use too, they reckoned it was more reliable at the side of the road.

If conditions are good and you have time and everything is dry etc, the rubber plugs are good, but apparently the string is much easier to get a reliable fix (temporary) if it's dark wet windy etc.

I carry some of each to be honest, got them from M&P.
I think it was the Innovation "standard" kit with the small screw-on CO2 cylinder adapter which works as an on/off control (the deluxe version has a trigger thing). I also got some spare rubber plugs and glue, Progressive I think.

Crafty Plugger is a string type (been on my rear for the past 5K).

I'm shortly going to invest in a kit. But It'll be one with the 3 gas canisters to reinflate the tyre. Can't really understand why ALL the kits dont include them. I mean whats the point in having a beautifully repaired flat tyre ?

What's the point getting a kit that's not the best? but I agrtee with you so get 2 kits :D
