Summer Gloves Wanted - Any Tips or New Releases

Am in need of a new pair of summer gloves. Last year I picked up a pair of RST gloves which were only £30 but have done ok and still in good condition. I brought them a little tight I think and the carbon knuckle bits on one hand are starting to hurt whenever I'm doing more than an hour on the bike so I thought I would chop them in for something a little more comfortable.

Anyone got any recommendations on good value for money options? Not necessarily cheap but I just need to justify spending loads on gloves. Anyone know the latest Ride recommended??

How much do you realistically want to spend ?

I've got a pair of Alpinestars GP Pro Gloves, all day comfortable, they've got vents on the knuckle armour so your hands keep reasonably cool on a baking hot day. Leathers very soft and supple and I didnt need to break them in before they were comfortable to wear.

The alpinestars sizing is funny, though, make sure you try them on before you buy as I always find I have to get a size larger with the alpinestars gloves. If you've got big hands or long figures they should suit you well.

They were £120 though...

Thanks Fizz - thats at the very peak of what I had in mind. Dont mind around £80 odd but also happy to spend less of course for a no-brand quality set.

Just got a pair of Racer Airforce from Infinity for about £75 .
Very comfortable and feel good.

Could try www.ridetriangles.co.uk for the Ride recommendations.

Hi, I have a pair of Spada Ultima III Race gloves. They have Roo leather on the palms, carbon on the knuckles. The are comfy and offer good feedback. They only retail at £40, but I only paid £25 after a bit of haggling. They rate highly in the tests I've read in Ride/Superbike mags.

Have a look at these - http://www.hideout-leather.co.uk/fol...acer_high_end/

I have a pair (as does my other half) and I'm on my third summer in them. It took about a week to break in but they are very comfortably and I have unfortunately road tested them and they are very protective. They are also ventilated so your hands don't cook so much in hot weather.

They are about £119 though you can barter them down a little I would have thought. I will probably be getting a new pair of these too at some point.

Not wrong there - I cant get alpinestars as my thumb is too long  :(

I'm currently trying to find something that'll fit well, but nothing seems so good at the moment apart from the gloves I cant afford
