Uploading files to Google Base - Help please.
As this is my site of choice when it comes to any IT issues ;) I thought I'd ask here first before wading through the confusing techno-babble from Google support.
Has anyone got any experience uploading files to Google Base and the various formats they should be in? To be more specific, uploading a store inventory from eBay so it can be found by searching Froogle. Answers on a postcard please - though do remember that this is me you are advising.:smt017 Techno-retard R Me.;) |

Hey K
A quick search of google base: http://base.google.com/support/bin/a...er=59260&hl=en "How to Submit: You can submit information about all types of online and offline content to Google Base, by either the standard web form or, if you have more than 10 items to submit, via our bulk upload options. When you submit information via the web form, you can attach up to 15 digital files in the following formats: PDF (.pdf), Microsoft Excel (.xls), Text (.txt), HTML (.html), Rich Text Format (.rtf), Word Perfect (.wpd), ASCII, Unicode and XML." What have you got that you're tying to upload? |
Re: Uploading files to Google Base - Help please.
I'm guessing the most important thing you want to upload will be images of your goods.
Can't see a How-to for that. Yet. |

Thanks for your efforts Kinvig, but I 'think' I'm trying to bulk upload an XML file rather than just images.
Ebay can generate the file from a store's inventory specifically for things like Google Base, but beyond that things start to go kinda wibbly. |
