Gearbox playing up

Hmm, with only 24 miles until my bike hits the 50000 mile mark, my gearbox seems to be playing up.

Oil level is about right, the clutch has just been replaced, well i say just, its been done with various parts etc but includes everything.

It started on the guildford ride. It was hard to click it down into gear. It would click in then jump out, or just not engage properly, same on upshifts. Its just not smooth and prcise like it was (No i know its done 50k, and dont expect it to be slick and smooth). Im also getting more whine in third and top gear.

I know who to go to just thought id ask for some opinions.

Sounds like the selector cam or fork dogs, got a couple of engines kicking about at Darrels, but you'd have to strip the bits out, we'll have a chat at some point unless it becomes critical, then I'm sure we can sort something.

Cheers Mark.

Well mines just gone past 48k (oil and filter change) and I don't exactly treat her with kid gloves, some times selecting second gear can be a bit stiff when shifing down. And she's clunky when cold, but nothing like what your saying.

Groovy, cheers mark. I'll keep an eye on it for now, then see what develops.

When my lad bought his curvy at 68000 miles it was going cheap as the gearbox was a bit like you describe.I took it for a test ride and reckoned we chance it.Got it home and took off the gear pedal and lubed it up as many have advised on here.Bingo.All sorted just by doing that.I assume you already tried this?
