Shocking build quality of Suzukis and Pirellis

What's the world coming to?

On Friday I did a hard right-left series of bends and when the left hero-blob touched down the metal just ground away on the road.

Later, accelerating rapidly away from the lights on full throttle the rear tyre started spinning up.
