Midlands Track Day (for a novice).
Anyone have any recommendations for my first track day on my sv650s. I have been riding a year and think I may be able to stay on around a track now!
I live in the midlands. Thanks Chris |

I can recommend Mallory , nice easy track to learn , I did a race school there , also Darley Moor is a nice track.
For a first track day I would go to Mallory. work on lines / technics with instructors before going too mad . Cheers Steve |

Thanks both. I will do that.
Do i need to do anything to the bike? |
Re: Midlands Track Day (for a novice).
Just make sure its in good working order (as normal).
Prudent to fold in or take off your mirrors, tape up your lights etc. Might want to drop your tyres a few PSI. (There will be a tyre man there who can advise you about this anyway). They advise you put some tape over your speedo as well. I'm already booked on to the Chequered flag day on the 12th. |

Noob questions alert! How come they ask you to tape over your lights/speedo? Is the speedo to ensure you look at the track & corners instead of your clocks? Just wondered :)

Take more than some bits of tape on my lights to make me look like a racer ;) |
