Service Manual for SV650S 2001 and Service Recommendation

Hey all, I found the service manuals on the main site but I have a question. I have a 2001 SV650s but the downloadable manual for that year bike says SV650. Are there any differences?

I haven't been closely following the service recommendations because I only put about 2000km a year on my bike. I haven't had anything major done since I bought it. The only mandatory replacing was oil and filter which was done. I'm overdue on brake fluid and engine coolant but i'm going to do that myself soon. (Is it easy to do?) Everything else on the checklist was to investigate. Also, with only 2k a year on it, do you really need to replace the hoses every 4 years?

tnx

Manual is for naked, you have faired, not much difference from a service point of view. 99 and 2001 models are almost exactly the same so no worries there. Brake fluid and coolant is pretty easy to change and 6 years is more than enough time to leave the old crap in there! Brake hoses need changing every 4 years because they degrade with time, it is well worth changing them for braided lines - the brakes will be so much better.
