Midweek blast's - good or bad?

Got the next couple of day's off and checking the weather on monday my face was trippin' me - last night (tuesday) and the tv forecast's saying it was going to p#ss all day, so get up today and it's glorious! , did the fife circle (up to cupar from dunfermline along to st' andrews, crail then anstruther - coastal route - caught in a bit of rain in burntisland, then home)

Empty road's - no hassle - no bizzies - town centre's easy to get around (being pervy at all the student chick's in st andrews!)

Just wondered if anyone has any comment's on these stolen day's and the benefit's from them.

Mid week runs are great, if you can get some quite roads that is away from the 47 mph drivers...

I do like going out on the bike myself during the week, dunno if its better cause I know I'm not in work like the rest of the world...

Being honest I'm just in I'm. soaked through as I only had my leather trousers on (Northy - I was wearing a textile jacket before I get cheeky comments) but I'm well chuffed that I went out, riding in the wet can be fun too... :smt045

Mid week runs are the rather marvellous. No Sunday drivers like George and Mildred. Mind you I do work all weekend which is a bummer. MId week blasts are rather good for calming the nerves for when the kids come home from school. Nowt like shouting into your helmet at hellish car drivers. And you get more days mid week to play out rather than two on a weekend

Absolutely!

BUT I am sick of the site of the place. All Mike wants to do is go to St.Andrews ALL THE TIME. Drives me mad because if there's more than 2 cars and less than 5 miles of straight road he sits behind cars all the way there!

As for midweek runs - I prefer them to weekends when all the ****s are out. Lots less traffic on the good roads.

I'm waiting for anyone to come up with a downside :) Midweek blasts are great. Less traffic, less police, less other eejit bikers... Plus, everyone else is at work! The midweek run is what raises us above the monkeys.

Yeah, absolutely nothing wrong with a midweek blast.

Personally, I take great pleasure in passing the works carpark at about 10:30am on Mondays when the rest of the guys are all slaving away.

Mwaah haa haaa haaaaaaaahahahahahahah!

Actually, i'm kinda lucky in this respect. I can have a blast pretty much any day that i'm working too. Start at 06:30 so an empty strip of tarmac on the way in and I usually finish up about 2pm. So if I took the bike to work, then there's a chance not to be missed for taking the 'long' road home.
