We're in the EU, wouldn't a single monetary policy make sense?

yes and no, but more towards the no side right now. medium term we will go in, although think what inflation would be like right now if we had eurozone interest rates.

no because the cost of living will nearly double, this has already happened in other european countries. In some places like spain it happened within a week.

A nation only controls it's destiny by retaining control of it's finances.Unless you are in favour of a "United States Of Europe"you should retain control of your currency.
The EU at the moment is totally dominated by vested interests and is fundamentally undemocratic.Britain is not THAT much better,but it is better,and we stand more chance of controlling the vested interests locally than across Europe. |
