SV has gone - CBR is here!

Thought I'd share some pics of my new bike, the SV has gone and I've now got a CBR600RR.. It's an amazing bike and every ride just gets better and better at the moment. So much to learn still but it's coming together, only passed 6 weeks ago.

It's a 53 plate, 1700 miles and standard apart from Carbon Can Co race exhaust which was on the bike when I got it and i've just fitted a Zero Gravity double bubble which was essential as the wind tried to pull my lid off at 80mph+, problem fixed now :D Getting a seat cowl next week and have got a tail tidy to go on aswell. No other mods planned apart from service and dyno check.

Hope you like,
Nick

Nice looking bike, how does it compare to the SV (a lot I'd imagine!)

Cheers, the CBR is completely diff as you can imagine. It felt like I was sitting on the tank to start with as there isn't much in front of you. It's smaller but the seat height is higher so i'm just on the balls of my feet, have to lean it to one side slightly to get my foot flat on the floor.

Performance wise it's awesome. It all happens at high revs, not too much pull from low revs like the SV and I keep thinking I need to change up as it was hard at first to keep the revs up to 14k or so not to mention the licence losing speeds you hit when revving that hard. The cornering is totally different to the SV too. It's much easier and eager to lean and the turn-in into bends is lighter and easier. It feels safer for some reason, probably down to the harder suspension so you don't move about so much. It feels totally planted to the road and inspires confidence.

I need to get some more miles under my belt to get used to it more but so far it's a total adrenalin rush everytime it gets over 8/10k rpm.

My Daytona all but takes off when you get to 10K, and it's terrific fun, but that doesn't mean to say that you have to ride in the power band all the time;)
