problem wiv tyres on an old sv650s?

i have recently bought a set of bridge stones for my sv which ar eon my avatar pic<<<<< and theyve done 1500 mile n there bald? now the last lot i had lasted about 8000 mile which i thought was very good but 1500? could the tyres be to soft? as i have shredded them ? also over the last few sets of tyres ive fun a front and a rear flat n wrecked them yet they have had no puncture? could this be an under inflation problem?

thanks.

BT014's by the looks of it ? Yes they are very soft and the wear rate is terrible. First rear on my GSXR lasted 1200 miles, the 2nd rear lasted 1800..

So IMHO 1500 miles is probably about right.

its one of the reasons that I wont use them any more.

What ^^ He said.

Bridgestone 021's are the pattern for the Sv if you want longevity from your rubber. However much more choice out there other than Bridgestones. Look at the likes of
Continetal Road Attcks
Metzeler Roadtec Z6's
Pirreli Diablo Stradas
Avon Venoms (I think they are called)

Avon Vipers (sports rubber)
Avon Storm ST (sports touring - more mileage)
