A new filter is only £6 though and is very easily replaced. It depends on the cost and how many normal filters you get through as to whether it's worth it.

in 30000 miles it would pay for its self

According to the site, they use stainless mesh. To clean, you'd need to run a fliud (or air) backwards through the filter, with the filter off the bike.

I reckon that'd make a fair old mess unless you did it properly. 30000miles you say? About 14months for me then.

For £6 a time, I'll keep using stock (or pattern) filters. Less hassle to change them than it is to clean that thing!

the reusable filters do not trap as fine of particles as a conventional throw away paper element filter

reusable filters are messy to clean and take time..... if your time is worth anything, it's cheaper to use a throw away

im pretty sure they filter better than disposables but could be wrong im not an engineer. But when it comes to my bike my time is worthless.
