In two minds - Help pls
Have been contemplating with this for quite sometime now but still cannot make up my mind - so some help pls
Always wanted to build a kitcar - basically because I enjoy the work that's involved and will defo enjoy the power of a bike engine on that thing :D Now it's not like I have the money waiting for it - would probably be a case of pay as you progress and buy things. The reason I cannot make up my mind is because I don't know whether I should get another bike first (ie sell the SV) and then see about doing the kitcar - or keep the SV and do the kitcar:D |
Re: In two minds - Help pls
Ohhhh, depends on the car, and the engine going in it ;)
If you've had the SV a while, get a new bike and save for the car. But if your SV is new, or your still happy riding it, then kepe it and start the car now. Depends how happy you are with the SV. |
Re: In two minds - Help pls
Keep the SV, buy a 'Busa. Ride the 'Busa about and scare yourself half to death, take engine out of 'Busa, break and sell the rest, put 'Busa engine in kit car :D

Daimo - SV is 1 year old and would keep it for another year b4 I sell it anyway and go for sthing bigger in cc - not made up my mind yet
MiniMatt - Busa is on the list as a bike and defo as a kitcar engine :D |
Re: In two minds - Help pls
I was considering this as a cheap way to achieve performance. Got into biking instead so not really any desire to get one myself anymore.

Re: In two minds - Help pls
I would suggest you try and go out on a drive on one :) You will be amased!!! You have the stability of a car and the power of a bike
Other than that though I would just enjoy building it :) |
Re: In two minds - Help pls
A kit car (based around a bike engine in a superlight type chassis) is one of my long term proposed projects. First is a trick-framed modern day cafe racer, then a superlight kit car, then, once I'm getting on a bit, a hotrod. :D
