Another CBR goes awol
 

Mine ! Dirty theiving scum were at it in S London, didnt soimeone say two RRs were stolen from N London last night....It happened about 3am , i heard a van door slam, got up, looked out, its gone...phone the police...
"you need to phone Trace and get a number",
"but ttheyre at it right now, its not been towed away in the middle of the night ",
"You still need to phone them"
So i phone them
"Was your tax disc up to date ?"
"Yes - and its on my own property, they out there now, stealing bikes"
"Your ref no is......"
Back to the police
"Name?"
"Contact no, address, etc etc"
"They re on the raod now!"
"Wellif the bike is stopped, it will show up as stolen.."
"THE BIKE IS IN THE BACK OF A VAN - YOU WONT STOP THE BIKE, ITS A VAN YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!"
"Yes well is they find it they will take it to the pound for you"
"THEY WONT FIND IT UNLESS THEY CATCH THEM IN THE ACT!"

i know my post makes it sound like it, but i was actually strangley calm. When i went back tio bed i woke the Mrs so i told her and she immediately burst into floods of tears, saying she felt violated and theyve probably been watching us etc....awful...

i would have got the mrs to ring the police and other people while you chase after the dirty scumbags with a big stick!! in future, if police are going to act like that then you might as well do something about it yourself.
this is why there are more people theiving, because they know they can easily get away with it!

I know exactly how you feel, I've been in the same position. Lets hope the thieving pond scum get caught and you your bike back.

You could've hung up, then called the police again telling them not to bother coming as you have a gun and are going out to deal with it- that should have been enough for them to turn up within a few minutes....

I had a friend who had his car stolen, then advertised on autotrader. He turned up to 'View' his car,Rang the police told them where he was, they wernt interested. Told them he was about to set about the theives with a baseball bat, They turned up in about 10 minutes.
Real sorry to hear about it, Hopefully you'll get it back.
Know what it feels like, Had my first bike nicked, And recently had £2500 of drumkit nicked from the back of my dads car.
Neither of which even got me a phonecall back from the police.

Also, Ring up your local newspaper and ask them to run your story. I did it with my drums getting nicked and some kind soul donated half a kit to me. Might not get that level of response but at least it gets word around, Aswell as putting a bit of pressure on the theiving gits.

Sorry for what's happened mate. My CBR was nicked a couple of months ago aswell so I sympathise. I gotta say I would've gone out with something sharp and given them a go, but thats just me.

Either that or put in a call to the local paper??? There's gotta be something we can do to highlight the total lack of care when this type of thing happens. :smt076
Sorry, rant over. Just gets me annoyed when I read this type of thing.

sorry to hear bout that. you should have said 'theyre out there now putting my bike in the back of a van , and im going out to them with my shotgun to blow their @@@@ing heads off'. the plod would have soon bin round
