Bike rack.....for a bike!
Hi all,
Bit of a random question but does anyone know or seen how to transport a pushbike on a motorbike? I am planning a trip to the Alps to go mountain biking but would soooo love to go there on my SV. I am thinking of building something myself as I reckon it can be done. My mountain bike is a full suspension so the rear swingarm and forks could be removed to shorten the frame as well as removing the wheels and seat. The frame could fit on one side of the bike and the wheels, forks and swingarm on the other. I could either adapt a topbox/pannier frame or get something welded up. The only major downside is that if I come off my SV I will trash my mountain bike, which is worth more then my SV! |

Not seen a push bike, but I have seen a full size ladder, albeit a very collapsible one. Anything is possible with thought and patience.

Trade the SV in for a Goldwing and put the pushbike on a trailer then tow it. ;)

Re: Bike rack.....for a bike!
sorry, i thought you wanted to carry your SV/mountin bike on a car
i would not entertain trying to carry a mountin bike on a SV why thats just crazy talk |
Re: Bike rack.....for a bike!
maybe some kind of trailer would be your best bet, if a goldwing can toe a trailer why not an sv?
