Mmmmm.......... Fairing Goodness!!

Got the lowers from Mickey Oates today.

They look nice and everything, the engineer in me automatically cried, "Rip-Off!!!"

Still I'm happy with them.

Need to get some R&G bungs now. If anyone needs bungs for an unfaired SK3, give me a shout these will be collecting dust very shortly.

I suppose this is the only upside to the next two weeks holiday and this crap weather.

See n a nice Copper pointy parked just opposite HG on Great Western Road with lowers and looked like a Blue Flame can, looked good.

Cheers

Would that have been Blue Flame's bike? Can't remember if he actually has a Blue Flame can, but it's a good chance eh? He was quite far from home though if it was him though.

What's miniblueflame up to? Not heard from our youngest member for a while! Although maybe thats a good thing as some of the content on here this week's not exactly suitable

I always thought that the 'engineers' among us could basically 'rip off' a pair of lowers a heck more cheaper using metal sheeting and a heavy paint / laquer coating to stop it being scratched. I am still working on fabricating a metal hugger rather than being ripped off buying one on-line.

All we need is a set of lowers to template from. I'm pretty sure i could do it at a fraction of the price and in the long run probably force the oem down in price and maybe even bring the cost down when a bike is dropped.

I could do it in fibreglass for you... But once you factor in time and painting it pretty much stops making sense, on a small scale at least. Makes more sense if you want something unique of course.
