Local spring sorter

Anyone had any experience of a local suspension tweaker who could re-spring my forks?

The lack of sensible firestorms or SV1000's has made my mind up. I'm almost certainly (well until something else comes along) going to keep the old SV so thought I'd make it a bit better up front.

So if you had to get your forks resprung locally, who would you use? Not looking for a super mega upgrade, probably some progressive forks and a chat about oil weight and air gaps. I've heard it makes the world of difference. Can't be assed to go nailing a GSX-R front end on or spending hundreds.

Cheers,
Mark

Did it all myself, got some Ohlins springs, reading through the forums revealed a guide to what kind of oil to put in based on weight and riding style and all the measurements to make up the spacers and part numbers to get the adjustable fork tops.

That would be my advice as it would be nice and cheap, don't know of any suspension experts in the area.

As for the shock if your going that route theres some good info on the forum on that too.

The only fella's I know that do suspension setups are JHS racing in Bristol. http://www.jhsracing.co.uk/suspension.htm

Steve Jordans in Great Bookham would be a good place to try
Steve knows what he's talking about when it comes to suspension setup, seeing that his other half races SVs.
I bought a set of Maxton springs there a few years ago for something like £70 IIRC, and did it with the help of a few friends

cheers
