It happened to me! - but can't prove it!
 

Something cool or weird ever happened on a rideout by yourself that you tell everyone and can't prove?


Taking a small b class road across to lanarkshire i noticed through the noise a jet fighter behind me so without thinking i waved up as it passed overhead, the plane did a roll side to side to wave back!

Heading from fort william to aviemore i was going along past loch laggan towards the house out of monarch of the glen, as i looked across the length of the loch a one of those planes that carries jeeps & tanks etc. flew across the loch some 50 feet above the surface but still below the road level!

Stopping in the cleish hills overlooking the kinross countryside on a still summers day two years ago for a ciggie break, a whirlwind came towards me like a mini tornado, freaky as hell felt like a ghost passing by me.

Anyone else have any stories?

He's been taking those drugs again...

only weird thing that happens to me is, in the short distance between the Roundabout on the A81 (B834 killearn) and junction of the A811, I have hit 5 birds in the last three years... i've never hit a bird anywhere else but along that 3 or 4 mile stretch there all game...

Other weird thing is i'm taking abuse at work at the moment for causing damage and mayhem in Mexico... Never blooming been to Mexico, whats that all about???

I had a buzzard escort me in mid-Wales. Flew about eight feet away, over opposing lane for maybe 200 meters, parallel to the bike and just in front.

He wasn't waving his wings at you. One of his maltesers rolled along the dash and he was just trying to get it back.

I had that on the way back from the icecream run... Went back-road bashing across Fife and some sort of massive bird of prey flew beside me along one road, about 10 feet away. Not sure what it was, though a buzzard would be a fair bet I think (I know nothing about birds of the flappy variety). Have to admit, I was so distracted that if there had been a bend I'd have gone straight on into the field. No doubt the bird knew this and was videoing me for youtube with its Beakcam. Not this time, bird!

That is too cool! I love that bit in a Bridge Too Far when the little Dutch kid on the bike waves at a Spitfire and it waggles it's wings in reply.

If you know anything useful about the other sort let us know mate, they are a beautiful, nice-smelling mystery to me!

Driving through the desert in arizona I had 2 fighter jets use the car as a target over the course of about half an hour. Very cool.
